چرا الکل ۷۰ درصد اثربخشی بهتری دارد!

کارشناس تغذیه معاونت غذا و دارو دانشگاه علوم پزشکی  اراک  مهندس آصفری بیان کرد:   الکل از سال ۱۸۸۸ به عنوان ضدعفونی کننده استفاده شده و کیفیت ضد عفونی کنندگی اتانول و ایزوپروپانول به خوبی به  اثبات رسیده است. اما هنگام گندزدایی با الکل یک قانون معکوس وجوددارد و آن مربوط به درصد خلوص الکل می‎باشد.

به نقل از روابط عمومی معاونت غذا و دارو اراک، مهندس محدثه آصفری کارشناس تغذیه معاونت غذا و دارو بیان کرد: شاید در نظر عوام کشتن میکروارگانیسم‎های روی سطوح و وسایلی که دارای میزان لمس بالایی هستند:مانند تلفن و دستگیره دربها، الکل با درصد خلوص بالاتر قدرت بیشتری در گندزدایی دارد و الکل با درصد خلوص پایین‎تر و رقیق‎تر به معنای عدم کیفیت آن و وجود آب در بطری است. اما طبق نظریه‎های میکروبیولوژی، الکل 70 درصد برای عمل گندزدایی مؤثرتر از 91  درصد است و بسته به این مساله می‎باشد که قصد نابودی چه نوع میکروارگانیسمهایی وجود دارد.

 آصفری افزود: الکل‎های با درصد غلظت بالاتر، خلوص بیشتری دارند و الکلهای با درصد پایین‎تر مانند 70 درصد آب بیشتری در آنها وجود دارد. آب به عنوان یک ماده مهم در این ترکیب، این امکان را ایجاد می‎کند که  الکل از یک غشای سلولی عبور کند و برای از بین بردن میکروارگانیسم‎ها به درون آن وارد شود.

بر اساس یک مطالعه انجام شده در سال 2020 و منتشره در سایت  NCBI، بالاترین اثر میکروب‎زدایی به‎ترتیب متعلق به اتانول 60  ٪ تا 85  ٪، ایزوپروپانول 60٪   تا  80   ٪  و  n–    پروپانول 60٪  تا 80  ٪  می‎باشد. کارشناس تغذیه معاونت غذا و دارو گفت  : اثر الکل در برابر ویروس‎ها متفاوت است و ویژگی‎های هر ویروس منحصر به فرد است.

ویروس‎هایی که دارای ساختار  پوششی هستند، مانند ویروس آنفولانزا، سرماخوردگی، HIV و Coronavirus جدید، با استفاده از محلول های الکل 60 درصد و نهایت 70% غیرفعال می‎شوند، در حالی که این ماده برای دیگر ویروس‎ها مانند نوروویروس‎ها مؤثر نیست. وی اشاره کرد:  مرکز کنترل و پیشگیری از بیماریها (CDC) معتقد است ضدعفونی‎کننده‎های برپایه الکل باید حداقل 60٪ الکل داشته باشند تا مؤثر واقع شوند. 

الکل با شکستن دیواره‎های سلولی میکروارگانیسم‎ها، آن‎ها را نابود می‎کند. طبق نظریات میکروبیولوژی، اتانول در برابر ویروس‎ها مؤثرتر است و پروپانول‎ها در برابر باکتریها فعالیت بهتری نسبت به اتانول دارند. به طور عملی، این قانون اساسی در مورد بهداشت منازل نیز اعمال می شود.  به عنوان مثال اگر در حال برش مرغ خام  بر روی پیشخوان هستید و قصد ضد عفونی سطوح را دارید تا از آلودگی متشکل از باکتری های E.coli و سالمونلا جلوگیری  شود، الکل با هر درصدی را میتوانید انتخاب کنید.   اما برای از بین بردن ویروس‎های بر روی سطوح استفاده از  الکل 60 درصد توصیه می‎شود.
